It’s hard to pray for God’s will to be done over the trial. Because deep down there is resolution you’ve set your heart on.
It’s hard to wrestle with knowing He’s good, but understanding that the outcome is out of your hands.
You hit a low and question if you even have faith…I get it.
If that’s a place where you find yourself today, I came to let you know, that it’s not a lack of faith, but rather a lack of trust.
Daniel didn’t pray for the lions den to disappear.
Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego didn’t pray for the fiery furnace to disappear.
Abraham didn’t ask God to find another sacrifice.
Job didn’t curse God for his tribulations.
Why?
They trusted in the Lord even if the outcome was death.
A lot of the time we’re praying for the trial to disappear instead of praying to be preserved in it.
In the trial Daniel learned that God will shut the lions mouth.
Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego learned that He will be in the fire with you.
Abraham learned that God keeps His promises.
Job learned that God restores all that is lost.
If it weren’t for the trials we face, we wouldn’t see just how much bigger God is. We wouldn’t understand the depth of His power and strength.
Always pray for His will to be done, because that’s when you see the heart of God. That’s when you truly understand how God works out everything for our good no matter how bad the situation.
