Christian

Do you walk with Christ?

“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”

2 Corinthians 13:5 ❤️

Apostle Paul wrote this to the church in Corinth (which applies to us today)

He challenged people to test themselves to see if they are in the faith. Meaning if they are even walking with God.

The crazy thing is, this was written to a church. When we think of church we assume that everyone who goes to church is in the faith, but over time I have learned that’s not true. (If so, why would he be telling the church this)

Just proves that we can go to church but never be His church.

When we are saved or “in the faith” our ways / life style no longer bring us pleasure or joy but disgust. We no longer see “sin” with a veil over our eyes nor do we see it as something to “give up”. (Like if we even could)

Someone who sees walking with the Lord as living a life style that just “refrains from doing things” is just a lost man with a religion.

In Christ He changes our hearts to see sin for what it truly is, detestable and something that separates you from Him.

My prayer for you is that you grow stronger in the areas of your lives that please the Lord, and that the Holy Spirit continues to expose and change things in us that do not belong in the “believers” who walk with Him.

Something I have been learning to test myself in daily. I don’t want to be a lost man with a religion, I want to walk with the God who transforms souls. I’m praying for that same desire to be planted in you too.
