Spiritual

Always speak truth…

You say you love your family, your husband, your kids, your siblings, and your neighbors, the congregation of believers that God has entrusted you with. Then tell them the truth.

What is truth?

I’ll tell you what it’s not…

It’s not OUR truth, it’s His truth.

It’s not with holding biblical truth to fit around their feelings.

It’s not holding back the gospel message, in fear that they will reject you.

It’s not allowing people to stay trapped in their own beliefs to allow a “safe space” to vent and then turn the other way as the continue to walk in darkness.

The word of God is truth. There is a word, a truth, to every lie we can conjure up in our hearts, in our minds.

The truth hurts. Why? Because our flesh only wants the end result. We want the glorification without going through the purification and sanctification, because we avoid uncomfortableness at all costs.

If the truth speaks against our relationships, I reject it.
If it speaks against my fornication, I reject it.
If it speaks against “my true self”, I reject it.
If it speaks against who I identify with, I reject it.
If it speaks against my own understanding of something, I reject it.
If it calls me out on my lukewarm or double mindedness, I reject it.

Why? Because the truth hurts. We have an idea of our own truth, that does not line up with God’s truth, so we reject it.

There are things that I learn every day in His word that goes against my own thoughts, my own ideas, my own truth. I hurt from the sting of my pride dying just the same as the next person. But just because it’s hurts doesn’t mean it’s not true. Just because it hurts doesn’t mean you get to choose the lie.

The idea that we can achieve perfection is ridiculous. That’s not the point of what I’m saying. What I am saying is that God will use the word to shine the light (truth) in ways you are not lining up with His word, and you can either receive it or reject it. But what I have come to know very well is this, the pit you find yourself in once you reject God’s truth, hurts way more than laying down your lies. The brokenness of your own choice is indescribable and immeasurable.

You think killing your pride hurts now? Words can’t describe what being humbled by your own choices feels like. God allows the very thing you choose to humble you.

I encourage you, to evaluate your heart deeply. And just start with one thing, that you feel like is true and doesn’t line up with His word and go from there. Flee from the things meant to keep you in the dark. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you. (This message is for the believers).

If you don’t even believe in God all together, start right there. Because if you don’t even know where you stand, how can you stand at all?

And if you choose not to believe with or without proof, then I pray that God shows mercy to you. The same mercy He showed us. Because truth is, He desires us to all be saved.

“His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, And he is caught in the cords of his sin. He shall die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭
