Valuable or valueless?

Today as I was going home, I saw homeless people feeding the birds outside a convience store. For a second I thought to myself, so little they have, yet they give. But, as I was sitting at the stop light, God reminded me of the scripture of Matthew 6:26 “See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?” All of a sudden I felt a strong burden sweep over me. People walk these streets everyday, seeing no value in their life. As I watched the birds eat and fly away, it was like God asking me if I saw value in his people. If so, why don’t I tell them that. You see, at one point we have all experienced something someone else is going through. I might never have been homeless, but I have walked around with no value for my life. God showed me that millions of others walk around feeling the same way. We have to come to a point in our walk where it’s no longer about us, but about all those around us who don’t really know the truth. About those who can’t hear God’s voice because the lies are so loud. I pray people never loose that conviction, that I never do either. That God burdens our hearts at the thought of leaving people with the same mentality that they started off with. Sometimes all people need, is to be reminded who they are. Truth is alot of people have no clue. I can testify to that. So, in case no one has told you today or ever, you are the most valuable thing God created. His love for you is unmatched by anything in this world. You have a purpose for your life and God would choose you a hundred times over. See, the funny thing about God is, He doesn’t make mistakes, He fixes them. And if He is such a loving God to worry about a birds well being, how much more would He care for yours? We must never loose sight of who we are, because when we do, we lose sight of who He is. God bless you.
